SIGLIT - Special Interest Group on Library Information Technology

One of the most promising application areas for CD-ROM is the library and information science environment. SIGLIT is very active in this arena and holds its own meetings in addition to the scheduled SIGCAT meetings.

Request for Information

From: James Igoe
Subject: Request for State and Local News Items
To: Multiple recipients of list GOVPUB

I am writing a column on state and local government information for a publication called Documents to the People. DTTP is a publication from the Government Documents Roundtable, one of several groups of the American Library Association.

If anyone has any noteworthy news/developments at the state/local level on the broad topic of dissemination of government information that they would like to share, I would appreciate hearing about them. It could be news about a development in state or local government that has occured recently (like legislation, big project, workshop) or, since the column will be published in March, it could be news about an important event or conference that will take place in March or soon thereafter. Librarians are the primary audience for this publication, news that relates to libraries and library users would be most relevant.

Please send me your news submissions to my email address listed below.

Thanks for sharing.
